Activities Schedule for 2020

April 3-5 Opening Weekend-Welcome Back. We are glad you are here. Dust off your RV's and gear up for a great new season of camping. Kick off our Meet and Greet Campfire on Friday nights are back with Smores. Saturday meet new friends or catch up with old friends as we kick off the season with a favorite. BINGO.

April 10-12 Easter Weekend - Easter Crafts. Dye Easter eggs please sign up at the office, so we have enough eggs for everyone. The Easter bunny will be here passing out candy on Saturday afternoon and she will be hiding eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt and Easter egg roll and other games just like at the White House in the Front Yard. Easter Dinner: We will supply the ham, paper products and drinks. Campers, please provide a side dish to share.

April 17-19 Fishing Derby-Join us for a fun day of fishing at the pond. Its stocked and ready to go. Prizes for biggest catch, most total fish caught, Adults, Kids and Teens/Tweens. DJ Rick White is back to dance us into the new season.

April 24-26 Sci Fi/Comic Convention-Avengers, Jedi and Aliens, OH MY! Come dressed as your favorite superhero or Sci-Fi Character for Drummer Boy's version of Comic Con. Anything goes (Family friendly of course) Trivia Scavenger Hunt. Costume contest. It's baaaaackkkk. Let's Make a Deal Bingo lots of fun for everyone in the family. Don't get Zonked!

May 1-3 Cinco De Mayo-Tacos and Mock Margaritas. Break out your limbo moves and other games and crafts. Our special guest is a Hanover favorite, Mr. Brian Colgan, is in Lincoln Hall to entertain us.

May 8-10 Mother's Day-Old Hollywood Glam Muffins and Makeovers for Mom. Let's pamper the ladies this morning. Let her sleep in, then drop her off at Lincoln Hall for Muffins, Makeovers, Massages and shopping with our Venders and Mom only craft- Jewelry kits. Kid Craft- make a gift for mom. And/or paint pottery for a small fee. Then bring her out to Lincoln Hall to walk the Red Carpet and get her picture taken and dance the night away with DJ Rick.

May 15-17 The Great Gatsby-"Gatsby, Gangsters and Gin Runners" Let's celebrate 2020 by going back 100 years to 1920. The era of flappers and fringe, Jazz, Speak Easies, and gangsters like Al Capone, Elliot Ness, Bonnie and Clyde, Keystone Cops and Bootleggers, the era of the silent movie and Hollywood Legends filed the screen. We will start the evening out with a movie to get us in theme. "The Great Gatsby" Nerf gun shoot out. Costume Contest. Then Lincoln hall will be transformed into a Speak Easy maybe even the Keystone Cops could show up. Password: FUN to enter and dance the night away

May 22-25 Memorial Day-Celebrate the official beginning of summer. Pools open. Golf Cart parade, Patriotic Window Painting at Lincoln Hall. Family craft: Tye Dye. Vendors and a Cook out Pool Party. The Hanover Express band is here to share their sounds of Country and Bluegrass. Yard Sale in the front field. Sign up for a space. What's a 3-day weekend without Bingo and Mini Golf Masters on Sunday to close out the first weekend of Summer.

May 29-June 1 Pirate Weekend-Ahoy Mateys! Captain Jack Sparrow is here to lead the young buccaneers on a special hunt for buried treasure. Pirates and Princess crafts, Ray Owen is back with his Pirate themed show.

June 5-7 Bingo Bash Weekend-Bingo! Bingo! Bingo! Bingo Bash weekend back by popular demand. If you are a Bingo addict this is the weekend for you. Kids Toy Bingo, Sweets and Treats Bingo, Meat Bingo, Cash Jackpot Bingo and closing it all out on Saturday Night a Drummer Boy Favorite: Let's Make a Deal Bingo. Be sure to come in costume. Pick Me, Monty! Pick Me!

June 12-14 Nerf Wars-Bring your nerf guns for a Nerf War Capture the Flag style shoot out in the front field with lots of things to hide behind. Crafts and other activities to enjoy Brian Colgan and his band 6 Cents will be here this weekend to entertain us on Saturday Night.

June 20-22 Father's Day Weekend-Donut's with Dads: Let Dad sleep in then catch a Saturday Breakfast of Doughnuts at 10 am. Then we kick dad out for a secret No Dad's Allowed Craft at 11 am. No Peeking! Dad's Mini Golf Masters. Dad and kids games, baseball games on the big screen. Then DJ Rick is here to rock the night away with.

June 26-28 1940's World War II AND Heroes Weekend-Pay tribute to the greatest Generation and those that are heroes at home. Thank the First Responders and LEOs that keep us safe at home and the veterans and active duty military over there. Thank you to all who serve. Learn to swing dance with dance teachers; Senior National Ball Room Champions Dan and Brenda Miller. The Gettysburg Swing Band will be here afterwards to dance the night away to try out your new steps.

July 3-5 Stars and Stripes Celebration-Decorate your campsite and your golf cart to celebrate our nation's birthday 244th birthday. Pools open with a cook out and Rock the Party DJs will play at our late-night swim on Saturday Night at the Back Pool. Vendors and Crafts and other activities available too.

July 10-12 Beach Weekend-We are going back to the beach. Beach themed crafts, games and a Hawaiian Luau with a Pig Roast. Local Steel Drum Band will play to make us feel like we are in the islands. Wear your leis and hula skirts. Deck out your Golf Cart with a beach theme and come out to the Golf Cart Decorating contest and parade. Build sandcastles in the volleyball pit and win a prize. Crafts and games too.

July 17-19 National Ice Cream Day-Festival Family craft: The Science of Ice Cream. Make your own ice cream. Find the lost scoops scavenger hunt, Come help us break the Drummer Boy Camping Resort record of 42 feet of yummy banana split goodness. Ice Cream Trivia. DJ Saturday night. Volunteers needed to help scoop ice cream on Friday afternoon and toppings on Saturday.

July 24-26 Christmas in July-It's back by special request. Come Deck the Hall: Lincoln Hall that is. Do you love decorating? Well Grinch and Scrooge live in Lincoln Hall and would love some help decorating. Make an ornament to hang on the tree, sing Christmas Carols, Cookie Exchange (Bring 2 dozen cookies to share and a container to take some home in), Cake Walk, and Christmas crafts. Santa will be here and so will the Grinch and Scrooge. Join in the fun with the Christmas Gift Game (white elephant). Bring a 10-dollar wrapped gift to join in (family friendly as always). And join the Who's as they carve the roast beast at our Christmas dinner in the hall ($).

July 31- August 2 Drummer Boy Olympic Games-It's all about believing. Come compete in your favorite Olympic events and a few crazy Drummer Boy games too. Friday night Golf cart parade followed by Opening Ceremonies in Front Field. Pre-register for the Olympic events. Special Drummer Boy Olympic Medals to participants.

August 7-9 Mardi Gras Weekend-Break out your mardi gras decorations. Decorate your site, your golf cart and come in costume. Beignets and King cake and coffee New Orleans Style. Join us for Casino night.

August 14-16 Wild, Wild West Weekend-Pit beef and Chicken Dinner is back. Everyone enjoyed this new modified Pitt Beef Dinner. (Small fee) Sign ups before arrival would be great give us a call or in the front office. Native American Games and storyteller. Marshall Mike is back "arresting guest" and holding them until Next of Kin can "bail" them out. Proceeds go to a local charity. Come down and two step to the Famous Rumors.

August 21-24 Back to the 80's Weekend-"Save Ferris, Save the Clock Tower, cut Footloose all weekend." Yes, we are going Back to the 80's to have some fun. Dress 80's costume contest, Neon, Jams, and the BIG Hair. Lots and lots of hair spray needed to get that big frizzy perm hair look. Costume Contest. 1980's Trivia. The town of Bomont Prom Committee will paint signs for the Footloose Prom. Don't worry Ariel's dad, (the pastor) gave Kevin Bacon permission to go. Join the fun. Crafts and Rockin' it all Night the 80's way.

August 28-30 Mystery Weekend-Murder, Intrigue, Colonel Mustard and Miss Scarlet will be in the hall with the clues to the Interactive Live Clue Game. Mystery scavenger hunt, crafts and more.

September 4-6 Labor Day-End of year Party and Cook out at Back Pool. Golf cart decorating parade. Window painting decorating at Lincoln Hall, Vendors, Tye Dye, Rock the Party DJ's swim us and rock us out of pool season.

September 11-13 Tailgate Weekend-Football is Back! Wear your team gear, decorate your site and golf carts in your teams colors. There will be crafts and other activities. Back again this year is the Chili Cook off contest and pot luck. Be sure to bring a side dish to share so that you can take part in the Chili judging. Watch the featured game on the big screen.

September 18-20 Disco and 1970's Weekend-Break out your disco attire and "get up and boogie". Costume contest, 1970's poster and decorating at Lincoln Hall, 1970's Make over's, Crafts and a DJ disco party.

September 25-27 "I love Rock and Roll" Weekend-Bring out the Rocker in you. Celebrate almost 70 years of Rock and Roll. (Est. 1951) Costume contest, break out your poodle skirts, your leather and your big hair band t-shirts for ice cream floats on the deck and Air Guitar and lip sing contests on the front deck. Tom Conley as Elvis returns in the evening to bring some of his Elvis impersonations. It's always a great night when Elvis is in the Hall.

October 2-4 It's Fall Harvest Y'all Weekend-Decorate your sites for Fall. Apples and Pumpkin themes throughout the weekend. Apples and caramel over ice cream social. Our Last Let's Make a Deal Bingo of the season.

October Weekends all feature the Halloween Haunt. Beware of Sweeny Todd, the crazy barber. The Halloween Haunt is back. Each weekend in October at Drummer Boy features Campfires with S'mores, pumpkin painting or carving and vendors in the hall, golf cart decorating contest and parade, costume contest in the front field. Decorate your site and enter to win a prize in the site decorating contest.
